Theme hospital game5/18/2023 ![]() The community-made open-source reimplementation CorsixTH improves the game in major aspect to fix bugs and make it natively compatible with modern OS versions. ![]() The game was re-released on GOG.com in 2012 and Origin in 2015, and the PlayStation version was released on the PlayStation Network in Europe in 2008, Japan in 2009, and North America in 2010. A Sega Saturn version was in development, but cancelled. Theme Hospital was a commercial success, selling over 4 million copies worldwide, and was ported to the PlayStation in 1998. The game received a generally positive reception, with reviewers praising the graphics and humour in particular. Theme Hospital is a video game compatible with Mac OS X and Windows systems that lets users design, build and maintain hospitals with the goals of curing. Multiplayer support with up to four players was added in a patch. Designers originally planned to include four distinct gameplay modes corresponding to historical time periods, but this was dropped due to time pressures on the team. ![]() This game is a piece of art and definitely the best hospital simulation so check it out. Peter Molyneux and James Leach came up with the idea of creating a Theme game based on a hospital, but Molyneux was not directly involved in development due to his work on Dungeon Keeper. A hospital simulator is not something you might consider a good theme for a game but the guys from Bullfrog Productions were famous for creating innovative and fun titles from the craziest idea-and Theme Hospital no exception. There several additional rooms, such as a staff room for your employees to rest, a toilet so that patients don’t have to relieve themselves in the corridors, a research department to get the most advanced diagnostic and treatment technologies and a training room where consultants can teach a thing or two to rookies, making them capable doctors. Theme Hospital is a level-based hospital management simulation where players have to start on an empty building, and then assemble rooms with all kinds of material, from desks and file cabinets for the general diagnosis to the expensive ultra-scanners and x-rays to diagnose such bizarre diseases such as Bloaty Head, Slack Songue or Alien DNA, and treat them with with even more bizarre machines like an Head Inflator or a DNA fixer.
